Product description

The later Roman helmet types were not based on Celtic designs anymore, but presumably on the helmets from the Persian Empire, which was emerging in that period. Around the 2nd century AD the cavalry had become an essential part of the Roman army, although it remained a vulnerable unit, one fifth of the army consisted of cavalry. Usually this involved auxiliae.

The helmet is made of steel and is suitable for a head circumference up to 61 cm. It is delivered including a cotton arming cap.
