Product description

This replica is based on 16th century drawings of Irish kerns (cethern). They wore small wide swords like this. Typical is the ring-shaped pommel. Similar swords have been excavated all over Ireland, the ring-shaped pommel presumably dates back to the 13th century. Several originals are nowadays part of the collection of the National Archaeological Museum in Dublin.
This sword is 105 cm long with a wide blade and an S-shaped cross-guard. The sword is semi-sharp and is delivered including a scabbard.

This item is not sold to customers under 18.
