A beautiful Scottish sword by Windlass Steelcrafts based on historical swords from the time of Robert the Bruce. This replica sword is named after the Battle of Bannockburn, where Robert the Bruce awaited the English with an army of 9000 men. In the end, the English were crushed, and the battle led to Scotland gaining independence 10 years later. Scottish swords like this have been used in this battle. The sword has a black grip and brass guard and pommel. It is delivered including a luxurious scabbard with sword belt to wear the sword around your waist. The semi-sharp blade is forged from tempered 1065 carbon steel with a hardness of 48-52 HRC. A great ornamental sword for the wall of Scottish history enthusiast, also beautiful for Scottish reenactment and Cosplay from Scottish films and series like Outlaw King. When shot off the blade, it is a great battle ready sword for sword fighting and an excellent training sword for Historical European Martial Arts.

Prevent rust and corrosion by oiling your weapons regularly. Remove rust easily with black sandpaper. Remove burrs with a whetstone. Make sure you have removed all burrs before using a battle-ready weapon, as they can cause wounds.

Maintenance & care
Just as with weaponry, you can care for your shoes and leatherware by applying a little Ballistol after cleaning. This prevents the leather from drying out.

Sharpening service

This item is semi-sharp and designed for decorative purposes. It can be made razor sharp at a surcharge. When using the sharpening service, the return right and warranty expires. The extra delivery time is approx. 2 weeks.

Blunting service

The blade of this sword can be blunted (2,5-3 mm) at a surcharge. Please note: although the thickness will be the same as a battle-ready sword, the return right and warranty expires when using the blunting service. Tip: How to adjust the finish of your armour and weaponry
Luxurious (polished)- polish the steel with metal polish or toothpaste. You can even give the item a mirror-like polish. Test on a small surface first!
Handmade (matte)- soak the steel in cola for 40 minutes to 20 hours. Check regularly and treat with black sandpaper.
Antique (patinated) leave the steel to rust for some time in a damp environment, preferably outside. Remove the red layer of rust, to reveal the corroded top layer.

Please note. After finishing the product yourself, the warranty and return right expire. Celtic WebMerchant is not responsible for the obtained result."

Het is geen slecht zwaard, enkel staat het zwaard zelf een beetje schuin en de fuller is ook niet geheel centraal.
