This medieval axe by Windlass Steelcrafts is based on original axes from the Middle Ages. Normally, people took the same axe to battle as the one they used at home. This was practical, and the axe served as both a weapon and a tool. This axe, on the other hand, was specially made for the cavalry. The axehead has a curved blade so that one could demolish thin armor parts from a certain angle. The back has a hammer blade to make dents and holes in knight helmets. In the hands of a knight on horseback, this axe was a deadly weapon. It is a great battle axe and an axe that was very advanced for its time. This semi-sharp axe is made of tempered 1065 carbon steel with a hardness of 48-52 HRC. Perfect for medieval reenactment, Knight Cosplay or as a decorative axe for your collection. When you blunten it, it is suitable for reenactment battles.

Tip: How to adjust the finish of your armour and weaponry
Luxurious (polished)- polish the steel with metal polish or toothpaste. You can even give the item a mirror-like polish. Test on a small surface first!
Handmade (matte)- soak the steel in cola for 40 minutes to 20 hours. Check regularly and treat with black sandpaper.
Antique (patinated) leave the steel to rust for some time in a damp environment, preferably outside. Remove the red layer of rust, to reveal the corroded top layer.
Please note. After finishing the product yourself, the warranty and return right expire. Celtic WebMerchant is not responsible for the obtained result."
