From his 7th birthday, a Scottish boy already trained with swords, first wood, afterwards steel. The older boys from the Lowlands soon used a lowlander to scare off the enemy. Lowlanders were used between the 13th and 17th century.
This lowlander is a replica of a museum piece. As a result of its special treatment it acquired an antique appearance. It is delivered including a wall display. This sword has a length of 174 cm with a blade of 122 cm and a grip of 53 cm. It weighs 3,1 kg.
It is known that Robert the Bruce wore a similar lowlander.

The blade of this sword can be blunted (2,5-3 mm) at a surcharge of â‚¬70,00. Please note: although the thickness will be the same as a battle-ready sword, the return right and warranty expires when using the blunting service. Tip: How to adjust the finish of your armour and weaponry
Luxurious (polished)- polish the steel with metal polish or toothpaste. You can even give the item a mirror-like polish. Test on a small surface first!
Handmade (matte)- soak the steel in cola for 40 minutes to 20 hours. Check regularly and treat with black sandpaper.
Antique (patinated) leave the steel to rust for some time in a damp environment, preferably outside. Remove the red layer of rust, to reveal the corroded top layer.
