This fibula is made after several originals excavated in the Rhine area. Nowadays the originals are exhibited at i.a. the Landesmuseum of Trier, Bonn and Cologne. This Roman fibula has clear Germanic influences and was presumably introduced in the Roman army by the Germanic auxiliae.

This fibula is completely handmade of bronze and has a diameter of 3,8 cm.
