Attach helmet inlay
Most helmets are supplied with a textile or leather helmet insert. The textile helmet inlay is usually glued into the inside of the helmet shell. Leather helmet inserts usually consist of a spider-shaped net that can be adjusted to size. Maintain your leather helmet insert against drying out, for example with ballistol anti-rust spray. You can do this at the same time as maintaining the rest of your helmet. The helmet insert can also be replaced.
- To do this, remove the old helmet insert, which is secured in the helmet cup with rivets.
- Place the new helmet insert and reattach it at the same points with rivets
- Close the rivets by attaching the washer/stamp to the rivet and riveting the tip closed.
