Attach helmet inlay

Most helmets are supplied with a textile or leather helmet insert. The textile helmet inlay is usually glued into the inside of the helmet shell. Leather helmet inserts usually consist of a spider-shaped net that can be adjusted to size. Maintain your leather helmet insert against drying out, for example with ballistol anti-rust spray. You can do this at the same time as maintaining the rest of your helmet. The helmet insert can also be replaced.

  1.  To do this, remove the old helmet insert, which is secured in the helmet cup with rivets.
  2.  Place the new helmet insert and reattach it at the same points with rivets
  3.  Close the rivets by attaching the washer/stamp to the rivet and riveting the tip closed.
