This luxurious tournament helmet is made after a 16th century Italian original. Nowadays it is part of the collection of the National Museum in Vienna.
The edges of the helmet are richly decorated. It has rope-shaped ends and even the air holes of the visor are artistically in proportion with the rest of the decorations. The helmet can be opened in three parts which can enlarge the field of view. The neck protection consists of several separate parts and can easily be attached to an armour collar.
The armour is made of cold rolled plate steel.
