This sword is a replica of the 15th century model that was owned by the Habsburg King Albrecht II of Austria. The pommel has an engraving of the Habsburg heraldry. The sword is a hand-and-a-half sword type XVIIIa with a short fuller. It weighs approx. 1,5 kg and is 113 cm long.
The blade is made of carbon steel with a hardness of 50-53 HRC. The point of balance is situated 12,7 cm below the cross-guard, this enables the sword to deal powerful blows when used as cavalry sword. This sword is an Oakeshott type XVIIIa. Product details:
