This fibula is a replica of an original excavated in the Viking town of Haithabu. Similar fibulae have been excavated in Birka, Dublin and Gotland. This fibula has two dragon motifs. It is typical for the style of the 10th century, but it was possibly still worn until the end of the 12th century. This fibula has a diameter of 6 cm.
