King Edward I was an absolute war king. He was 16 years old when he had his first confrontation; the noblemen of England wanted to remove his father king Henry III from the trone. Later on Edward went on a crusade and he came back with the deep ambition to unite all the British isles under his crown. He first focused on conquering Wales and built an iron chain of castles which nearly bankrupted England. After conquering Wales, he tried to conquer Scotland until his dying day.
