Product description

Bycockets were worn by men and women between the 13th and 16th century. The edges of the hat are folded upwards, giving the hat the appearance of a beak. As a result the French called this hat chapeau à bec due. The bycockets were originally most frequently worn by aristocracy. Later, in the 14th and 15th century, the hats were also worn by merchants and the middle class. The bycocket was sometimes richly decorated with jewels or badges. This bycocket is available in the colors natural, blue and red.
