Product description

This bust is an original replica of the Roman general and politician Gaius Julius Caesar. Similar busts are part of several museum collections in Europe and the US. These statues were often painted to make them appear lifelike.

Julius Caesar is possibly the most well-known Roman in history. He is known for his Gaulish wars and he expanded the empire (during his era still a republic) with approx. 50%. He undertook two expeditions to Britannia and is known for his relations with the Egyptian queen Cleopatra.

This bust is completely handmade of alabaster. Its height is 22 cm.
