Product description

The Pickelhaube is a Prussian helmet that was designed in 1842 by Frederik-Willem the 4thof Prussia. After his son Willem had become emperor of the German Empire it was worn by the German militaries, firefighters and the police. It became most known as the German helmet of World War I.

This Pickelhaube is a replica of an officer of the cuirassiers regiment Von Sydlitz Nr. 7 from 1867. It was originally worn by Chancellor of Germany Otto van Bismarck, the right hand of the new German emperor. The original can be seen at the German Historical Museum.

The helmet is suitable for a head circumference up to 59 cm. It has a leather inlay to adjust it to the right height. It weighs 1,25 kg.
