Product description

The hand-and-a-half sword Arjan is made after an original from the transition period between the 14th ? 15th century. The sword clearly has its own character. It is made in a practical but artistic way that was typical for this period. Both the cross-guard and the scent stopper shaped pommel are slightly twisted and end in the grip.

Swords like this were used all over Europe, several originals are part of the Wallace Collection in London, Musée de L?Armée in Paris and the Royal Armouries of Tunisia.

This sword has a length of 109,1 cm with a blade of 84 cm and a cross-guard of 26,1 cm. It weighs approx. 1809 g. This sword is an Oakeshott type XVa.
