Product description

Queen Elizabeth I (1558-1603) is the most well-known English monarch who ever lived. These coins are based on originals that were minted at the time of her reign. The protestant Elizabeth changed England into a world power, she beat the Spanish Armada, had a great influence on the political situation within The Netherlands and she started the first colonies in the New World. She also beheaded her half-sister who was queen of the neighboring kingdom of Scotand.

This set contains the following coins: six pence, a groat, a half groat, penny and a half penny. The coins have the Latin motto: 'Posui Deum Adivtorum Meum' (I made the Lord my helper). These coins are made of pewter.
