Product description

Archers on horseback were used from the 8th century BC on by the early Scythian tribes in Central Asia. These nomadic steppe people travelled, hunted and battled on horseback. The Huns introduced the flat upper and lower side to catch the asymmetry of the bow and also the Turks and the Mongols adjusted the design of the horsebow to their own wishes.

The length of this horsebow (recurve bow) is 48" (122 cm). The centre layer is made of maple wood and the layers of the limbs are made of olive wood. The nock, in which the string is placed, is made of micarta & walnut. The standing height is 5" to 5,5" (the perpendicular distance from the string to the drawn bow is 12,7 to 14 cm). The string itself is made of dacron.
