A beautiful diary made of high quality vegetable tanned leather with handmade paper and a brass lock. This diary is decorated on both sides! The front shows the Templar Cross, the symbol of the Knights Templar. The back shows the Templar Seal: two knights on the same horse with the text: SIGILUM MILITUM. This is short for: Seal of the Soldiers of the Temple of Christ. The Temple Order was a brotherhood with the structure of a monk order, which was part of the armies that fought against the Muslims in the Holy Land during the Crusades. A number of well-known historical figures were members of the order, including Godfried de Bouillon. In addition to the Knights Templar symbols, this leather diary also shows decorative knot motifs. The handmade paper is sewn by hand in quires, the spine of the book shows the cross stitches of the quires. This book is perfect for notes, drawing, sketching, writing.
