This seax blade is a replica of several 6th-9th century originals. Seaxes like this were used by all Germanic people all over Europe. It is made of 256 layers of damascus steel. It is made of steel type AISI 4340 and 15N20 and is tempered to a hardness of 56-58 HRC.
