This spatha is a replica of an original from the 6th-7thcentury AD found in Cologne. Similar examples are found in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Great-Britain.

This sword is handmade with a luxurious hilt from wood and brass. It is 90 cm long, with a blade of 70,5 cm and 5 cm wide. It weighs 1,3 kg. The blade is made of carbon steel with a hardness of 54 HRC.
