This pot is made after a 6th century Frankish original. In any case they occurred in The Netherlands, Germany and some regions of France. Possibly pots like this were also used by the Viking people of Scandinavia. It is completely handmade of the clay from the Rhineland that was traded to The Netherlands, Germany and Italy around the Middle Ages.
