This beautiful hand-forged knife is based on originals from the (Early) Middle Ages. Knives such as these were used throughout Western Europe for practical purposes such as cutting leather and cutting food. The knife was worn on the belt or neck so that it could always be quickly grabbed for use.
This replica is hand-forged from carbon steel and has a twisted grip with a curl at the end. It comes with a leather sheath, which has a loop so that you can hang it on the belt or around your neck. A great accessory for medieval re-enactors, LARP, museums or collectors of historical knives.

Nice small knife. It looks gorgeous, but keep in mind that it's small - overall like my index finger
(in description 11.5cm, in reality knife is about 8cm - maybe total length wit the sheath?)
The good things are: steel is tempered and blade has beautiful cover of coal from the tempering + beautiful forging marks.
The sheath is nicely done, the thick leather protrudes inside protecting the stitching from the blade's edge.
The bad thing - the edge was supposed to be "razor sharp". It's not. It IS processed with the grinder, poorly and uneven,
but the angle is OK for nothing but the hydraulic hammer, near 45 degrees ;)
I have bought two pieces, both are alike, plus one is even smaller.
