This type of bascinet developed from the visorless bascinet. The now attached visor had great advantages, but limited the view. This bascinets were likely developed in Germany and were later worn throughout the whole of Europe.

This helmet is made of 1,6 mm thick steel and is equipped with a textile inlay. It is available in the sizes M (head circumference 60-62 cm) and L (head circumference 63-64 cm).

Choosing the size that fits you best
Add 3,5 cm to your head circumference if you wear an arming cap under your helmet.
Add 2,5 cm to your head circumference if you wear a chainmail coif under your helmet.
Add 6 cm to your head circumference if you wear both an arming cap and a chainmail coif under your helmet.

Maintenance & care
Prevent rust and corrosion by oiling your armour regularly. Remove rust easily with black sandpaper.
