Product description

Most of the Roman archers were recruited in the eastern, oriental regions. Therefore many tombs and inscriptions show them wearing helmets with eastern influences, like this helmet, which is very similar to the Slavic helmet type. This helmet is made of steel with brass decoration and also brass cheek protection and neck protection. Because the coin-shaped plates overlap each other and are sewn on suede leather, this offers extra protection.

This helmet is delivered including a cotton arming cap and weighs 2,9 kg. It is suitable for a head circumference up to 60 cm.
