This Viking sword is a replica of a 10th century Norse original. It is a Petersen type S and the original is nowadays part of the collection of the National Museum in Copenhagen. The original is made by the Frankish sword producer +Ulfberht+. A similar item has been excavated in Chertsey, England. This sword is delivered including a wooden scabbard wrapped with leather. The scabbard has a belt loop and a scabbard tip.

Sharpening service

This item is semi-sharp and made for decorative use. For a surcharge it can be sharpened razor sharp. When you use the sharpening service, the warranty only accounts for transport damage. When using the sharpening service, the delivery time of the sword will be approx. 2 weeks. Avoid rust by frequently greasing your armor. You can easily remove rust with black sandpaper.

Tip: How to adjust the finish of your armour and weaponry
Luxurious (polished)- polish the steel with metal polish or toothpaste. You can even give the item a mirror-like polish. Test on a small surface first!
Handmade (matte)- soak the steel in cola for 40 minutes to 20 hours. Check regularly and treat with black sandpaper.
Antique (patinated) leave the steel to rust for some time in a damp environment, preferably outside. Remove the red layer of rust, to reveal the corroded top layer.
