Simple forms of hand protection were made of leather, the more wealthy could afford chainmail gloves and the wealthiest men had gloves made of armour.
Throughout the history hand protection was very important because the hands are an easy target for the enemy. When firearms became more common the importance of hand protection decreased because long distance battles were emphasized.
Gauntlets like these were worn in the late Middle Ages. They consist of several parts which improves the mobility. Crevices shaped like hearts are made in the steel, completely like the courtly knight tradition. The gauntlets are available in unpolished or polished steel with a thickness of 1,3 mm or 1,6 mm and with or without leather inner gloves.
