Cotton has been used for thousands of years to make clothes. The ancient Egyptians have been using cotton since around 5000 BC. In India and Mexico the plant has been used even longer. People used cotton to make light cloths and garments. Herodotus writes about cotton from India in 1000 BC: 'There are trees growing in the wilderness and their fruit is a wool that is even better and more beautiful than the wool of our own sheep. The Indian people make their garments from this tree wool.'
Our cotton branch has many cotton balls. It is approx. 70 cm and biologically grown in Israel.
