This armet is made after an original from 1410 AD. It is part of the weapon arsenal of the Churburg Castle on the Italian-Austrian border. The armet is part of the suit of armour S18.
The armet consists of the helmet, neck protection and visor, the neck protection can be folded out and offers the face extra protection, as a result the visor can be kept open in some cases. The visor was presumably mainly used during tournaments. The neck protection has rings for attaching a coif. This helmet is custom made, click here to download the size table.
