This glass is a replica of 15th and 16th century ceremonial glasses used by the Order of Malta (Hospitallers).
The glasses were used at the time of the well-known Siege of Malta in 1565. During this siege the Hospitallers defended the island from the Ottoman superior numbers of 48.000 soldiers. The Hospitallers fighted off attack after attack and thus kept hold of the island.
This glass is completely handmade and measures 20 cm.
