This Celtic jewel is a replica of an original excavated in a tumulus in Moravia, Slowakia. The original dates from the 3rd-4th century AD. The sword was an imports status symbol within the Celtic culture. Large original swords but also small miniature swords like this were given as a burial gift to use in the hereafter.
