This bronze jewel is based on the depiction of the Celtic mother goddess on the Gundestrup cauldron. She was the highest mother goddess in the Celtic Pantheon and the wife of Taranis, god of thunder. She wears a torque, which is an evident status symbol. Both her breasts are bared.
