This bucket helmet is made after an illustration from the Westminster Psalter (British library, Royal MS 2 A XXII) from 1200-1250 AD. The illustration shows a knight who kneels to pray before he leaves on a crusade. His squire gives him the helmet.
This bucket helmet is richly decorated with brass decorations. It is the only known depiction where a bucket helmet is decorated this elegantly.This helmet is custom made, click here to download the size table.
Choosing the size that fits you best
Add 3,5 cm to your head circumference if you wear an arming cap under your helmet.
Add 2,5 cm to your head circumference if you wear a chainmail coif under your helmet.
Add 6 cm to your head circumference if you wear both an arming cap and a chainmail coif under your helmet.
Maintenance & care
Prevent rust and corrosion by oiling your armour regularly. Remove rust easily with black sandpaper.
