A beautiful early type of Bowie knife by Windlass Steelcrafts. Bowie knives were first used by Colonel James Bowie at the Battle of Natchez in the 19th century. It is said to have been designed by his brother. The bowie knife is a hunting knife with an efficient design with a fixed blade and a prominent cross-guard. This replica bowie knife features a curved cross-guard to parry enemy attacks in close combat. The blade is made of tempered 1085 carbon steel with a hardness of 48-52 HRC. It is delivered including a leather scabbard.
