This needle-case is a replica of an original excavated in the Viking town of Birka. It is excavated in a female grave (grave…) this needle-case has a copper ring to attach it to your belt with a leather strap. Needle-cases are frequently excavated. Needles were hard to make and expensive, so they were stored very well to avoid losing or damaging them.
