This pewter badge is a replica of 15th century originals. This badge was worn during the English War of the Roses by the Loyalists of Thomas of Lancaster. Thomas was the bitter rival of Edward II. After a bloody war Thomas of Edward was captured and locked up in his own castle in Pontefract. The badge depicts the execution of Thomas of Lancaster. On both sides angels are flying over his head. They lift Thomas" soul to heaven. Christ is depicted on top of the badge. Details
