This ceramic wine cup is handmade after several 14th-16th century originals. It has a volume of 0,2L and is approx. 10 cm high with a diameter of approx. 8 cm. This wine cup is made of orchery clay and the edges are glazed in a green colour.
Greenware is pottery with a green glazed layer on the complete surface or parts of it. This type of pottery was already used around the 13th century, mainly on the British Isles. In the 14th century, 10 to 20% of all the pottery used in London consisted of greenware. On the mainland of Europe, greenware's popularity increased from the 15th century onward.Product details:
