This helmet is made in the typical Maximilian ribbed style. It has a gorget that consists of several parts and closely fits to the head. The original dates from the 16th century and is nowadays part of the collection of the Wallace Collection in London.
The armet is made in a stylised human figure. The helmet has a nose and two extra large air holed as eyes. The actual field of view was shaped by the wide slit in the visor. The neck piece consists of several parts that end in an extra armour collar. The helmet can be opened in three parts.This helmet is custom made, click here to download the size table.
Choosing the size that fits you best
Add 3,5 cm to your head circumference if you wear an arming cap under your helmet.
Add 2,5 cm to your head circumference if you wear a chainmail coif under your helmet.
Add 6 cm to your head circumference if you wear both an arming cap and a chainmail coif under your helmet.
Maintenance & care
Prevent rust and corrosion by oiling your armour regularly. Remove rust easily with black sandpaper.
