This German sallet is based on a 15th century original from 1490. Originally the sallet was mainly made by the well-known armor manufacturers of Milan, later in Germany this type was modified and mass-produced. German sallets are characterized by the fact that they are solid helmets with only a few flat sides. As a result, impacts are distributed over the entire helmet. This helmet is equipped with a klappvisor. The neck protector consists of different parts, enabling the head to move comfortably.
