This drinking horn is a replica of a 15th century original, found in the Netherlands. The original was made in the Netherlands and is now exhibited in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. This beautiful drinking horn shows that the tradition of glass drinking horns (probably started in the 1st century AD) continued until well into the Middle Ages. This drinking horn is very similar to the 5th century Frankish model from the British Museum.
This drinking horn is entirely handmade from green glass, just like the original.
