This handmade belt is a replica of a 15th century original. All the belt’s fittings are based on originals excavated in the medieval city of London. Around the 15th century London was the cener of international trade. Belts like this were worn all over Europe. The buckle and the fittings are made of pewter, a base metal affordable for all classes in society. Contrary to the original the tongue of this belt is made of pewtered brass, to make it stronger than the original.
