Product description

This decorated Viking ear spoon is based on a 9th-10th century original excavated in grave 660 in the Viking town of Birka. Ear spoons were cosmetic objects and are most frequently found in female graves. Women often carried tweezers with them as well. This ear spoon is decorated because it did not only serve as a cosmetic object: it had decorative functions as well and was worn on the belt like a decoration.
