Our sword is not an exact replica of the aforementioned historical original, but is instead based on various parts of original late fourteenth century – early fifteenth century swords that were used in the Battle of Shrewsbury.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe Battle of Shrewsbury took place on 21 July 1403, in which King Henry IV of England triumphed over Sir Henry Percy of Northumberland. This Percy rebelled against his king together with the leader of the Welsh uprising in 1400-1415.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis one-and-a-half sword, or bastard sword, is made of tempered 9260 spring steel. The pommel is riveted and the grip consists of a wood core wrapped with brown leather. It has a cross-guard with cruciform motifs and an octagonal cork-shaped pommel. The cross-guard is approx. 23 cm long and 0.5 cm thick. The sword is supplied including a scabbard with wood core and covered with brown leather.
