How can you best put on and take off a chainmail shirt?
Putting on and taking off a chainmail shirt is a bit tricky if you're not used to wearing it. They're pretty heavy, bulky, and have a lot of friction.
Putting on a chainmail shirt
To put on a chainmail shirt, start by threading your arms through the sleeves. Once you've got both arms through the sleeves, the chainmail shirt will bunch up around your elbows.
You can then lean forward, thread your head through the neckline, and stand back up. Gravity will pull the chainmail shirt down, though you might need to help gravity out a bit by wiggling around.
Or you can stay upright and throw the chainmail shirt over your head, using your arms to give the chainmail shirt some momentum. Again, gravity pulls the shirt down, but you might need to wiggle and jump a bit to help it along.
Taking off a chainmail shirt
To take off your chainmail shirt, you need to start by lifting the bottom up slightly, just enough to make sure it doesn't get caught on your hips or backside.
The next step is to lean forward and pull the bottom of the shirt up a bit more while you lean forward. Once you're in the bent-over position, start shaking your arms and shoulders so the chainmail shirt slides further up your back, over your shoulders, and eventually over your head.
