Caring for Your Wooden Treasures

Maintaining Wood: Here's How to Do It

Wooden products aren't maintenance-free. Over time, the wood will become dull and dry out, which is why it needs to be oiled regularly.

Cleaning

When you clean your woodwork, never let it soak in water. Dip a cloth in water with a very mild dish soap or soap and wring it out. Use the damp cloth to clean your woodwork. Be careful with using dish soap on woodwork with a matte finish, as it can make the wood shine.

Oiling

Once your woodwork is clean, you can oil it. Hemp oil or other plant-based oils or waxes are great for wood care. You can also use some Ballistol for this.

Depending on how often you use your woodwork, it's recommended to oil it once a week or once a month.
