Herne was once an honourable hunter, whose life was changed by an encounter with a mysterious druid. The druid taught him the ancient art of wild magic, but an unfortunate event during an intense hunting ceremony caused a permanent bond with the unpredictable forces of chaos. Now Herne carries the burden of wild magic, where his emotions and actions cause unintended, unpredictable and sometimes dangerous magical outbursts. He wanders as a Barbarian through the land, searching for ways to master the magic and find peace with his unbridled powers.
This Barbarian is inspired by the story of Herne the Hunter, a figure from English folklore. I found it wonderful to see how this ancient myth could be translated almost seamlessly into a Dungeons & Dragons setting and I hope you're also inspired to create your own character based on this.
Battle axe
Our Barbarian is armed with a battle axe, with which he can unleash his battle rage.
Barbarian cloak
Herne's clothing is designed for outdoor life, ideal for a Barbarian who sleeps outside. His long cloak can also be used to sleep in.
Tunic
Since deer and other prey animals don't perceive the colour red well, it's no problem for a hunter to wear a red tunic.
Note that you also choose a suitable under-tunic for the Lodin tunic, because wool can be itchy, like the Leif or Ulrich tunic.
Chaperon
Is it too warm for a cloak at a festival? With a chaperon you'll still get an impression of outdoor life as a Barbarian.
Trousers
These flexible trousers are ideal for various characters. And they have pockets.
Belt
Herne's belt has a number of rings, where he can hang small bags or hunting trophies. Ideal for a Barbarian. He also wears a narrower belt with a set of knives.

This is one of the most important parts of this Barbarian costume. With a good pair of boots, Herne can walk tirelessly through the wilderness. Unfortunately, the model we used for the photo is no longer made. But check out the following models:

Shakespeare's version of Herne is a ghost with horns. With our set of 2 antlers you can make your own headband. As a hunter, Barbarian Herne can carry a hunting horn, and you can equip him with a bow.
