Applying Collodion for a realistic scar
Collodion is a liquid that tightens the skin when applied. The liquid shrinks as it dries and pulls the skin inward, creating the effect of a scar.
Applying Collodion
Before you start applying Collodion, map out where you want your scar to be. Use a mauve lip liner or eyeliner for the effect of a still-healing scar. If you want to create an older scar, use a nude or natural colour.
Use the brush in the pot to apply the Collodion over the liner. The more layers you apply, the deeper the cut or scar will look.
Once you're happy with the effect, lightly powder the Collodion with face powder to eliminate any unwanted shine.
Removing Collodion
Collodion can be removed with a special Collodion remover or with Spirit Gum remover. This product dries out the skin, so it's recommended to apply a moisturising cream after use.
