This surcoat is perfect to wear over the hauberk. The surcoats were originally developed during the First Crusade where knights were exposed for long periods of time to the enormous heat and dust. Later on these surcoats were used all over Europe and they became a part of the identity of the knight and knighthood. This surcoat is made of wool and linen.

Washing prescriptions: Hand wash, possibly wool wash program in the washing machine. Wool has self-maintaining properties and needs only be washed when heavily soiled. Otherwise, you can just ventilate your garments in the open air.
