This sword is an early type Viking sword. It is made after a 7th-8th century original that was found in Norway. Around this period the Viking swords had a large pommel that usually evolved in a triangular shape.

The length of this sword is 90 cm and it has a hardwooden grip. The blade is made of carbon steel. The sword is delivered including a leather scabbard.

This sword is a Petersen type A.

Lekker licht, lekker kort en lekker praktisch. Voor mij persoonlijk mag het heft wel wat langer zijn, want met mijn brede handen kom ik met de pommel te zitten. Hou het lemet ook erg goed bij, want dit zwaard roest wel vrij snel. Ikzelf prefereer hier Aziatische choji olie of nelken-olie voor. Dit vormt een dunne, onzichtbare filmlaag om het lemet dat erg goed beschermd tegen oxidatie. Celtic webmerchant verkoopt dit onder Traditioneel Azië -> Olie en wetstenen.
