This jewel is a replica of an original found in Varby, it is part of the great Varby treasure that was excavated in april 1871. The treasure contained a necklace that consisted of 42 parts, silver bands, 19 pieces of belt fittings with flower motives, belt ends and 19 pendants with mainly depicted animal motives.
This replica is made of bronze and measures 26 x 29 mm. It weighs 15,7 g.
