The sax, seax or scramaseax is a large knife that was worn by European men in the 5th until the 11th century. Typical for the seax is that it has a single-edged blade and that it is worn horizontally, with the sharp edge upwards. Seaxes like this were used around 550 AD by the Saxons and the Franks.

This seax has a red wooden handle and a brass end that is decorated with a triskelion.
It is delivered including a scabbard, its length is 49 cm and the length of the blade is 31 cm.

This item is produced in limited quantities only. This means that every piece is unique. Sizes & finish may vary lightly from piece to piece.
